The Trinidad and Tobago Heart Foundation (TTHF) is a not-for-profit Foundation (incorporated on 17th April 1998) whose principal objective is creating awareness of heart health, healthy lifestyles and proper dietary habits in an effort to reduce the incidence of heart disease and stroke.
Each year 20.5 million people die worldwide as a result of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) also commonly referred to as Heart Attacks and Strokes. “This is more than the total number of deaths from all Cancers, HIV/AIDS and Malaria combined” (WHO & AHA 2015). Trinidad and Tobago is not exempted from this adversity since the main cause of deaths each year among our citizens is Cardiovascular Disease (CVD).

This year the TTHF will be hosting its “Heart and Sole 5K Run” bringing together an estimated 1000+ runners, walkers and attendees from across Trinidad and Tobago, encouraging members of the public to engage in fun heart healthy exercise and inspire others in their lives to do the same. This event will be held on Saturday 27th September 2025, from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the Queens Park Savannah, POS, in commemoration of World Heart Day (September 29th).
