Low Fat Brownies

Ingredients


  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup dutch process cocoa

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablspoons canola oil

  • 4 ounces unssweetened applesauce

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 egg

  • 2 egg whites

Directions


Step 1


Preheat oven to 350 degrees (Farenheit). Spray an 8-inch by 8-inch baking pan with cooking spray.


Step 2


Whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, sugar and salt in a medium bowl.


Step 3


In a large bowl, combine oil, applesauce, vanilla, egg and the egg whites.

Gradually stir dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until well combined.


Step 4


Pour into baking pan and bake for 20 minutes, until sides pull away from the edge of pan.

Cool in pan amd then cut into 16 squares.
